Two teenagers have appeared in court charged with attempted murder after a 16-year-old boy was ‘stabbed’ in a city street.
The boy remains in hospital following the incident which happened on Stenhouse Avenue West in Edinburgh at about 9pm on Sunday.
Two 17-year-old boys were charged with attempted murder when they appeared at Edinburgh Sheriff Court on Tuesday, court officials said.
Neither entered a plea and both were remanded in custody.
Their names cannot be reported for legal reasons.
Police earlier said officers are continuing to follow further positive lines of inquiry.
