It’s been just over a week since Strictly Come Dancing‘s 2024 series wrapped up with Chris McCausland and Dianne Buswell being crowned as this year’s champions.
However, fans won’t be left without their dancing fix this festive season as the BBC One dance contest’s Christmas special is back for another year.
Each of the six couples will perform a festive-fueled routine in the hope of impressing judges Craig Revel Horwood, Motsi Mabuse, Anton Du Beke and Head Judge Shirley Ballas, along with the voting studio audience. The question remains: who will emerge as the Christmas star of the evening and lift the coveted Christmas trophy?
Viewers can find out by tuning into BBC One and BBC iPlayer on Christmas Day, Wednesday, December 25, at 3.55pm.
Additionally, Emma Bunton will perform a special rendition of the classic Spice Girls song, ‘2 Become 1’. So, who are the famous faces competing this year?
Comedian Josh Widdicombe was first to be announced, followed by Tayce Szura-Radix, who will become the programme’s first drag artist contestant, reports the Manchester Evening News.
Presenter and podcaster Vogue Williams was the third celebrity revealed and athlete and Gladiators star Harry Aikines-Aryeetey was fourth.

Actress and former EastEnders star Tamzin Outhwaite was the fifth Strictly Christmas celeb announced and finally former racing car driver Billy Monger rounded out the line-up as celebrity number six. Nadiya Bychkova, Kai Widdrington, Nancy Xu, Karen Hauer, Nikita Kuzmin, and Gorka Marquez are your Strictly Christmas professional dancers for 2023.
Dan will dance with Nadiya, Sally is paired with Graziano and Jamie will hit the ballroom floor with Nancy. Tillie’s paired with Neil, Danny’s dancing with Jowita and Keisha’s professional partner is Gorka.
