The 1% Club is known for its brain busting challenges presented another difficult questions in Saturday’s (December 21) repeat episode presented by host Lee Mack.

In a tense finale, all four contestants stumbled on the final 1% question, true to the show’s tough reputation. But could you have done any better?

The question asked was: “In this sequence what number would logically come next.”

The baffling sequence given was: “24846594_”.

Each contestant in the studio was baffled, each offering different answers. Host Lee Mack revealed that none had figured it out, leading to a missed chance to share £96,000, reports the Express.

The Answer

Lee Mack explained the logic behind the sequence, directly connecting it to the question asked.

He revealed: “The number sequence relates to the number of letters in the words in the question. “Next” has four letters.”

Thus, “in” corresponds to two letters, “this” to four, “sequence” to eight, and so forth.
