The festive period might be coming to an end, but that doesn’t mean you can’t visit anymore Christmas markets.

Whether you go for the food or prefer it for the vibes, hitting up the markets in your local town is enough to make you feel merry. Now one American man revealed his surprising visit to Winterfest in Glasgow.

The bloke, who is currently travelling across the UK Christmas markets, claimed the stop in the city didn’t disappoint. Posting on TikTok, user @kalanighosthunter, who boasts 3million followers, had the time of his life at the hotspot.

He said: “Come with me to Winterfest in Glasgow, Scotland. I’m an American travelling the UK Christmas markets and this stop in Glasgow did not disappoint. We started our food journey with an £8 bratwurst that tasted absolutely heavenly.

“Who doesn’t love a good sausage? You know I had to wash it down with a nice Irn Bru but then we headed to the mini Dutch pancakes and got some Biscoff pancakes, these were also £8.

“If you love Biscoff, you’re gonna absolutely love these little fresh pancakes, they are heavenly. I then got my first ever crumble and decided to screw it all up by mixing it by accident and I learned my lesson, that was £8.”

But if you thought that was all – he then got a taste for a chilli chicken wrap which he described as “absolutely incredible”. He admitted: “I ate everything of this and did not waste a single bite, this was my favourite thing.

“I didn’t even mention all the rides they have but I just feel like doing them. I saw this jacket potato and couldn’t resist so for another £8, I got me a jacket potato with beans and cheese with some garlic butter.

“It wasn’t the best jacket potato I ever had but it definitely hit the spot, overall I really enjoyed the Glasgow Christmas market.” Since he shared the video, it racked up a lot of attention with over 5,100 likes.

One said: “Welcome to Glasgow. Hope you enjoy your time here.” While another added: “I love this guy.” Then a third chimed in: “Blows my mind so many people can eat a lot at markets.”
