Motherwell Photographic Society held its Christmas social night at the latest meeting.

The members had a buffet supper. There was a quiz and a lucky dip where everyone went home with a Christmas gift.

The club will now take a break for the festive season before recommencing on Thursday, January 9, when the guest speaker will be Campbell Skinner from Greenock Camera Club.

Campbell will give a presentation on event photography.

January 9 is also the deadline for submissions for the final digital image competition of the season.

Motherwell Photographic Society meets on a Thursday evening at 7.30pm in Holytown Community Centre.

As always, anyone with an interest in photography, no matter your level, is welcome to attend. The annual membership fee is £30.

There is a £2 weekly fee payable for all meetings in the community centre, which includes tea, coffee and biscuits.
