Wetherspoon is prepping for a New Year extravaganza, with pints priced as low as 99p during a January sale at its venues across England and Wales. Patrons are in for a treat with the price slash starting on Thursday, January 2, through to January 16.
The same stellar deal will commence a day later in Scotland, from Friday, January 3, and running until January 16, giving customers a fortnight to capitalise on the discounts.
Up to 750 pubs are joining in the celebration, featuring deals like Ruddles beer at only £1.29, reduced from the usual £1.79. A variety of other offers includes: Worthington’s beer at the irresistible 99p price tag, Belhaven for just £1.49, and Doom Bar also at £1.49 a pint.
In terms of vino, over 650 Wetherspoon locations are offering a 250ml glass of Coldwater Creek wine for a mere £2.49, while nearly all their outlets have low and non-alcoholic beverages at an enticing £1.49 each.
For those with an appetite, food bargains abound this January, with tantalising options starting from £2.99, including a range of savoury muffins and three burger meal deals – averaging £6.52 with an alcoholic drink or a modest £4.99 when paired with a soft drink.
Tim Martin, the entrepreneurial spirit behind Wetherspoon, remarked, “Department stores and shops hold their sales in January, so it was a perfect time to have a sale in the pubs too.”
Catering to a wide array of preferences, the founder added, “This year we have included our biggest selection of low and non-alcoholic drinks.”
Wetherspoons, alongside its expansive drinks menu, often rolls out promotional events and sales to give their customers that extra value-for-money experience.
In other news, Wetherspoons is kicking off its Boxing Day celebrations, with normal operating hours resuming after the Christmas festivities. Customers can visit from 8 am to 1 am and enjoy a full menu.
The same hours will also apply for New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day, allowing patrons to ring in 2025 in style. The food on offer includes a burger meal deal (with chips and a drink) for £4.99 with a soft drink or £6.52 with an alcoholic beverage.
