The Airdrie Action Partnership have hailed the “wonderful kindness” of the XACT/Airdrie & Coatbridge 41 Club as it boosted the group’s festival appeal by £2000.

The four-figure sum was presented to the partnership’s chair Iain Jaimeson by the club’s vice-chair Tony Murphy.

Iain told Lanarkshire Live: “We are absolutely delighted with this £2000 donation from the XACT/Airdrie & Coatbridge 41 Club for our Christmas appeal.

“This will go a long way towards boosting this year’s appeal, which supports local children and families at this time of year.

“This is wonderful kindness at a time when most people are struggling with the cost of living crisis.

“It’s always a great pleasure to do what we can to help local families.”
