DALLAS — The Dallas Cowboys roller coaster season continues as the team announced Thursday that they will be without star wide receiver CeeDee Lamb for the final two games of the regular season.
According to the team, additional examinations and scans determined that Lamb’s shoulder injury has progressed to the point where they feel he should not play.
Lamb, who has been fighting through the injury he suffered in Week 9 against the Falcons, has been a key contributor to the Cowboys’ success this season. He surpassed 1,000 receiving yards against the Carolina Panthers, becoming the first player in Cowboys history to achieve that milestone in four of his first five seasons with the team.
The team said Lamb will undergo a process of treatment and rehabilitation for his shoulder, which is currently not expected to require any surgery.
The Cowboys expect Lamb to make a full recovery.
So, that means Cooper Rush will be without the Cowboys’ best offensive weapon for the final two, tough games against Philadelphia and Washington. However, with no playoffs on the horizon, the main goal of these remaining contests may not be to win, but to survive.
