Amey are set to perform “essential investigations” using ground penetrating radar (GPR) on Glendoune Street and Dalrymple Street in Girvan between Monday, January 6 and Saturday, January 11.
Road closures will be in place overnight from 8pm to 6am each night as the road operator prepares for “future works” in Girvan.
Traffic will be diverted along Henrietta Street while the investigations are carried out.
A spokesperson for Amey said: “Amey, on behalf of Transport Scotland, is undertaking essential GPR Investigations (Ground Penetrating Radar) on the A77 on Dalrymple Street and Glendoune Street in Girvan from Monday, January 6 until Saturday, January 11 between the hours of 8pm and 6am each night.
“This work will require overnight closures in this location to ensure the safety of road users and road workers whilst the surveys are taking place, and traffic will be diverted via Henrietta Street.

“This scheme will benefit vehicles using this route each day, by informing future works at this location.
