A man had to be airlifted to hospital following a ‘medical emergency’ on Inchmurrin Island on Loch Lomond.
The Loch Lomond Rescue Boat (LLRB) was paged at 8.38am on Friday morning by Police Scotland to assist the Scottish Ambulance Service with the incident.
The LLRB crew launched immediately – collecting ambulance colleagues – and once on scene assisted them In treating and stabilising the man.
A LLRB spokesperson said: “After some time and due to the nature of this incident, LLRB requested the assistance of the Coastguard Rescue helicopter and soon afterwards R199 attended to transport the patient to hospital.
“Thanks to Inchmurrin Island for their hospitality and use of the quad bike to reach the patient and transfer him to the helicopter.”
