Power has been restored on a Scots street after a car collided with an electricity box on Christmas day.
Emergency services raced to the incident on Kirkshaws Avenue in Coatbridge after receiving reports of a car having struck a parked vehicle and an electricity box at 2.55pm on December 25. Crews attended and a man, 40, was found injured.
He was taken to Monklands Hospital for treatment, where his current condition is unknown. Residents were left without electricity or power until 1am on Boxing Day as engineers worked to complete the “complex repair”.
Police say inquiries into the smash are ongoing.
Images from the scene show a large cordon in place with an ambulance in attendance.
