ATLANTA — An Atlanta rapper has died after spending more than a week in the hospital, according to a statement on his social media pages from family.
OG Maco, a rapper who is from College Park, died on Thursday night at the age of 32.
The rapper’s family posted on Dec. 16 that he was in “critical but stable condition” and was receiving the “best possible care” as he continued his fight.
On Friday, OG Maco’s family posted to his social media page, saying, “With heavy hearts, we share the heartbreaking news of the passing of our beloved Ben, known to the world as OG Maco.”
The family did not disclose the rapper’s cause of death.

OG Maco is known for one of his hit songs titled “U Guessed It” and is also featured on another song with Atlanta-based rap group Migos.
