Motherwell were denied a first win over Rangers at Fir Park in 22 years as the Ibrox side fought back to draw.
James McFadden was the winner the last time the Steelmen beat the Light Blues in ML1, back in 2002, but there were no new heroes to go into the history books.
Apostolos Stamatelopoulos put Motherwell ahead in 14 minutes, with Tawanda Maswanhise doubling that lead on the half-hour.
But Igamane climbed off the bench to score two second-half goals.
Motherwell’s first-half lead was no more than Motherwell deserved, against a Rangers side that looked like it was going through the motions. Goalkeeper Aston Oxborough barely had a save to make.
But Rangers came roaring back at their hosts in the second half, with Motherwell twice denied goals by VAR, with boss Stuart Kettlewell sent to the stand.
Motherwell boss Stuart Kettlewell made three changes to the side that lost 4-0 at Celtic Park on Boxing day, as Liam Gordon, Andy Halliday and Stamatelopoulos came in for Kofi Balmer, Tom Sparrow and Tony Watt.
Rangers boss Philippe Clement made seven changes to the side that lost at St Mirren on the same day. Robin Propper, Ridvan, Nicolas Raskin, Kieran Dowell, Oscar Cortes, Danilo and Cyriel Dessers replaced Leon Balogun, Jefte, Connor Barron, Nedim Bajrami, Ianis Hagi, Vaclav Cerny and Igamane.
Diomande fired just over from distance as Rangers threatened in the first minute.
Oscar Cortes sent Dessers racing in on a cross in seven minutes, but the striker’s shot was well saved by Oxborough.
Maswanhise went on a run down the right wing in 12 minutes, but his curling shot was no problem for Jack Butland in the Rangers goal.
Motherwell took the lead in 14 minutes when Robin Propper’s attempted clearance fell to Maswanhise and he fed Stamatelopoulos to poke under Butland.
Harry Paton set up Ewan Wilson on an angle from the left flank in 23 minutes, but his shot flew past the far post top corner.
It took Rangers a while to get going again and the closest they came was with a Cortes shot in 27 minutes but it was well wide of the left post.
Ridvan tried his luck with a chip from wide on the left, but it landed on top of the Motherwell net in 30 minutes.
Motherwell doubled their lead five minutes later when Lennon Miller picked out Maswanhise inside the box and he turned before smashing a shot into the bottom right corner.
Sub Vaclav Cerny saw his shot turned round the right post in 56 minutes as Rangers tried to turn the screw.
Tony Watt forced a solid save from Butland in 57 minutes as Motherwell tried to restore their lead.
From the corner, Butland punched the ball into his own net but referee Kevin Clancy immediately blew for a foul, which was upheld by VAR.
A decent Rangers move ended with Cortes slicing a shot wide of the left post in 40 minutes.
Sub Igamane sent a shot narrowly wide of the top right corner in 48 minutes as Rangers tried to get back in the game.
They did pull a goal back in 50 minutes when Igamane hit the left post and reacted fastest to slam the rebound into the net.
Tony Watt had the ball in the back of the net in 63 minutes, but it was ruled out for an offside against Dan Casey.
It was a sliding doors moment, as Rangers levelled in 67 minutes when Igamane found space on the left corner of the box, turned and arrowed a shot into the bottom right corner.
Sub Sam Nicholson was sent through on the right in 80 minutes, but angled his shot past the far post corner.
Igamane could have bagged his hat-trick six minutes into the 10 minutes of stoppage time added on, but fired over from just inside the box.
