Since the series first hit screens in 2014, Outlander stars Sam Heughan and Caitriona Balfe have been one of television’s most adored couples.

Fans can’t get enough of the stunning pair in their roles as Jamie and Claire. On Thursday, their wishes came true when the show’s official Instagram account posted a series of photographs featuring Heughan and Balfe as their iconic characters.

“Did somebody ask for new Claire and Jamie pictures? #Outlander” the caption read, sending followers into a frenzy in the comments section.

“In my opinion… Jamie & Claire are the best onscreen couple in the world,” raved one fan, while another echoed, “Love these pictures of the best TV couple ever! ! ! Love them.” another quipped, “That raised eyebrow though… #fiercefraser” a second person posted, with someone else concurring, “That Jamie eyebrow! ! !”

“What a perfect series. In addition to the excellent story, the wonderful actors, the music, the scenery; look at the perfection of Jaime and Claire’s clothes! It’s impossible not to fall in love with Outlander,” said another Instagram user.

Earlier this month, Balfe and Heughan shared with Parade their experiences of the final days of filming the drama. Although the eighth and final season of Outlander won’t air until 2025, production has already wrapped.

“On the last official day, there were lots of tears,” Balfe admitted. “I saw [executive producer] Ron [D. Moore] and I was bawling. I was like, ‘This role has changed my life.’ It really has. It’s changed all of our lives; it’s given us so much and it’s going to be very strange not to have this as part of our lives.”

“We’ve had a lot of goodbyes, at least moments in the last day with another actor or the last day together or the last scene,” Heughan shared. “We had an event recently and some fan I was speaking to said, ‘Now that it’s over.’ It really, really hit me there. I was like, ‘Oh, it is,’ but it’s not for the fans, honestly.”

The Scottish acting star who portrayed Jamie Fraser added, “There’s so much to look forward to. After Season 7B, there’s the whole of Season 8. Obviously, we’re going to be around for quite some time doing press, etc. So, it isn’t quite over yet. But we’re close. It’s a huge part of our lives, it has been for 11 years.”
