CCTV images have been released amid a desperate search for a missing Scots man who was last scene at a train station.

John McNeil, was reported missing in Perth on Sunday, 29 December. The 52-year-old was last seen in the St Catherine’s Road area around 9pm on Friday, 27 December. It is believed he left Perth Railway Station shortly before this and headed in the direction of the city centre.

John is described as white, around 5ft 10 inches in height with an average build and short grey hair. When last seen, he was wearing a work style navy jacket, navy trousers, light blue shirt, navy tie and black shoes. He may also be wearing a dark-coloured hat and carrying a rucksack.

John’s family is extremely concerned and extensive enquiries are ongoing to trace him. Inspector Kris McCall said: “We have a dedicated team of officers working to trace John and have now released two new images of him from the last time he was seen.

“It is very unlike John not to be in touch with his family and friends and, as time passes, our concern is growing. I would appeal to anyone who may have seen John or has any information about where he may be to get in touch with us.”
