Christmas and Boxing Day might be over for another year, but there is another holiday just on the horizon – New Year. 2025 is just two days away, with many out there planning parties to host or attend.

While it is an exciting time for a lot of us, there will still be many supermarket employees hard at work. Although supermarkets remain open on the build-up to Hogmanay, they do tend to operate at different opening hours, similar to the Christmas period.

This means that your local store might not be open at the times you are used to. So, if you need any last-minute NYE essentials and must-haves such as bubbly and snacks, or even just some milk and bread, it’s worth knowing exactly what times the supermarkets will be open at.

To help ensure you don’t get caught out this year, we have provided below the confirmed opening hours for most supermarkets across Scotland on December 31 this year.
