HOUSTON — An outage impacted Texas Department of Public Safety offices across the state on Monday.
“DPS is currently experiencing an outage that is impacting driver license offices statewide,” DPS said in a post on social media around 3 p.m. Monday.
Due to the New Year’s holiday, DPS offices will also be closed on Tuesday and Wednesday.
Officials said staff members were working with customers to reschedule their appointments.
KHOU 11 News reached out to DPS earlier in the day and we’re waiting to hear back.
The DPS website was also down on Monday. When attempting to go to dps.texas.gov on Monday morning, an error page appeared with the message “This site can’t be reached.”
There’s no timeline on when the system will be back up or what other services are impacted.
