AUSTIN, Texas — A pedestrian was killed Dec. 29 after getting hit by a vehicle in North Austin, according to police.
The Austin Police Department (APD) said it responded just after 4 a.m. to a collision involving a driver and a pedestrian along the 8900 block of South Interstate Hwy 35 heading northbound.
APD said the driver left after the crash and the victim died on scene, according to initial reports.
This is the city’s 94th deadly crash this year and its 101st fatality.
