In-demand Greg Taylor is a left-field target for ambitious Dinamo Zagreb boss Fabio Cannavaro as his Parkhead deal nears the end.

The Scotland defender is now able to talk to clubs with less than six months remaining of his Hoops contract with him looking increasingly unlikely to sign a new deal. And reports in Croatia have indicated that legendary Italian World Cup-winning star Cannavaro has targeted Taylor and made him a priority signing for the Croatian side for next season. Taylor played and was booked in Celtic’s recent goalless draw with Dinamo Zagreb at the Maksimir Stadium in the Champions League.

Cannavaro took charge of Dinamo last week after they lost patience with manager Nenad Bjelica after a dismal league campaign. He’s previously managed the Chinese national team and Udinese as well as working in Saudi Arabia. He’s been promised funds to restore Dinamo and has made a shortlist with Taylor’s name on it.

Celtic have been strongly linked with a return for fellow left back Kieran Tierney either in this window or in the summer.
Dinamo are unlikely to move for Taylor this month and wants to wait until his contract expires. They travel to Turkey this week for a training camp.
