Jennifer Aniston, 55, has opened up about her final and only interaction with Angelina Jolie before the actress took up with Jen’s then-husband, Brad Pitt.
The Friends star married Brad in 2001 before they later finalised their divorce in October 2005.
In a shocking turn of events by January 2006, Angelina, 49, was pregnant with Brad’s child. This followed widespread speculation that Angelina and Brad had become close on the set of Mr and Mrs Smith, filmed in 2004, the Mirror reports.
In an intimate revelation to Vanity Fair, Jennifer spoke about the only occasion she crossed paths with Angelina – a fleeting encounter before Angelina began working with Brad. Jennifer recounted how she approached Angelina in the car park on the Friends studio lot.
Jennifer said: “I pulled over and introduced myself. I said, ‘Brad is so excited about working with you. I hope you guys have a really good time.'”.
As the drama surrounding Brangelina once rocked Jennifer’s fanbase, the tumultuous affair is nearing its closure. It is reported that Angelina and Brad have finalised their divorce arrangement following immense legal strife.
On Monday, Angelina submitted her court documents, purportedly renouncing claims to spousal or familial support from Brad, given her own considerable fortune estimated at $120 million, ensuring her independence and provision for her family.

Angelina Jolie’s solicitor, James Simon, released a statement reflecting on the lengthy legal battle since Angelina filed for divorce from Brad Pitt over eight years ago: “More than eight years ago, Angelina filed for divorce from Mr Pitt. She and the children left all of the properties they had shared with Mr Pitt, and since that time she has focused on finding peace and healing for their family.
“This is just one part of a long ongoing process that started eight years ago. Frankly, Angelina is exhausted, but she is relieved this one part is over.”
The couple, who parted ways, share six kids, Maddox, 23; Pax, 20; Zahara, 19; Shiloh, 18; and the twins Knox and Vivienne, 16. There seems to be strain in Brad’s relationship with some of his children post-divorce, as three of them have chosen to ditch his surname and just be known by “Jolie”.
Zahara paved the way, presenting herself simply as Zahara Jolie in 2023, with siblings Vivienne and Shiloh following her lead.
Years after Brad’s highly publicised connection with Jennifer Aniston, he’s found love anew with 34-year-old jeweller Ines de Ramon, with their relationship turning public in summer 2024. Reports suggest they’ve been an item for several years.
