BINGHAMTON, N.Y. (WBNG/Gray News) – A man was arrested for kidnapping a woman using a crossbow in New York state, according to police.

According to officials, they were called for reports of a disturbance involving a crossbow.

When they arrived at the location, they learned Devin Collins, 20, forced a woman into a vehicle while pointing a crossbow at her.

He fled the scene but was later spotted. When officers attempted to pull him over, he refused to stop.

A police chase ensued throughout Binghamton, New York, and crossed into Pennsylvania.

Collins eventually hit a tree and was taken into custody.

The female victim was taken to a local hospital to be evaluated for injuries from the crash.

The vehicle Collins was driving had been reported stolen and he had a warrant out for his arrest.

He was charged with multiple felonies including kidnapping, reckless endangerment, criminal possession of stolen property, and a misdemeanor charge of unlawful fleeing.
