Debenhams shoppers are in for a treat with a serious discount on a popular Marc Jacobs perfume. The flash January sale has the 100ml bottle listed for just £36, down from £99.
Described as a “sunny, enticing floral” essence, the The Honey eau de Parfum comes in a stunning golden bottle that looks as good as it smells, according to fans. It flawlessly merges pear and mandarin orange with rich undertones of honeysuckle, orange blossom, peach, sweet honey, creamy vanilla, and a hint of woodiness.
Bottles of similar sizes typically sell for around three-figure costs, making this a great opportunity for those who want to stock up just after Christmas. But, shoppers need to be quick and act whilst stocks last.
Dozens of happy customers posted their opinions online, with many expressing nothing but pleasure for the perfume, reports the Mirror. One buyer said: “One of my favourite scents. The price was brilliant as well.”
Another added: “Elegant bottle. The perfume is divine and long-lasting. 100ml is very generous for a perfume of this quality. Very good value for the price.”
A third wrote: “Perfect daytime perfume. Hard to find, so glad that Debenhams have it!” Meanwhile, another branded the scent “a light, bright, floral perfume with a hint of spiciness. A good everyday perfume.”
However, not all feedback was glowing. One critic mentioned the short-lived nature of the perfume, claiming it “doesn’t last more than a few hours”.
Another found the scent as “a bit basic” and warned other shoppers that it was “not worth the expense”. There are plenty of perfumes that promise floral aromas with other stores.
For example, Cosmic by Kylie Jenner boasts notes of blood orange, red peony accord and vanilla musk. It is available at Boots starting from £34 per bottle.
Fans of the fragrance have described it as “the BEST perfume” and lauded it as “a truly beautiful timeless scent”. However, some customers have noted its lack of strength, mentioning: “You need about 10 sprays for anyone to notice the smell.”
In contrast, Next’s Silver Aura is a well-loved £16 scent that is often thought to rival the much pricier Thierry Mugler’s Alien. Happy customers have exclaimed that it “smells unreal” with one adding: “People always comment and think it is an expensive perfume.”
