Luke Littler has been replaced by two-time world champion Adrian Lewis at a Scottish event due to a schedule change.

Since his stunning professional debut at last year’s World Championship, Littler has had a packed schedule, balancing his PDC duties and various exhibition events to increase his earnings. The 17-year-old was set to compete against Luke Humphries, the man who beat him in the 2024 final, in Fife on April 25.

However, MDA Events, the organisers, have swapped him out for Lewis, who won the world title back-to-back in 2011 and 2012. He will now face Humphries at the Kingdom 2025 Masters at Pettycur Bay Holiday Park, near Burntisland.

Despite this, Littler will still be in Scotland that night, headlining a different MDA show in Kelso, a two-hour drive south of his original booking. Those who purchased tickets to see him compete against Humphries have been offered full refunds if they no longer wish to attend.

Ticket prices range from a standard £50 entry fee to £95 for a VIP meet and greet and £225 for a platinum ticket, which includes participating in a nine-dart challenge for the chance to win a leg of darts against one of the pros, among other benefits.

Lewis announced his return to the sport last year after taking a break to care for his ill wife. After the schedule change, Littler will now be joined by a trio of Scottish heroes, John Henderson, Willie Borland and Robert Thornton.

Former World Cup champion Henderson is now a force to be reckoned with on the Seniors Tour, holding the titles of World Matchplay, World and Masters champion. World No.128 Borland made headlines with a nine-darter at Alexandra Palace in 2021, while seasoned pro Thornton boasts three major wins under his belt. Similar packages to those mentioned are up for grabs for the Kelso event.

Littler’s attention is currently fixed on his bid to become the youngest PDC world champion in history. The teenager faces Stephen Bunting in the semi-finals tonight (Thursday) for the right take on three-time Ally Pally king Michael van Gerwen or Chris Dobey in Friday’s final.
