These super troupers brought something special to the Nativity at the Kirk of Calder – by using a touch of Abba.
Music from the Swedish pop legends was used to convey the dream of peace of earth at the baby’s birth.
The heavenly voices of angels, kings, wise men and shepherds soared above the packed congregation and the Nativity ended with a joyful rendition of Come and Join the Celebration.
As the children sang and raised their arms in celebration, there was Christmas magic in the air.
It was a wonderful occasion enabled by the volunteers that run the church’s Sunday Club, and the young stars that shone brightly to make this year’s Nativity so memorable.
Thanks go to Livingston-based singer Abi Neil, currently attending the Birmingham Conservatoire, for starting the Nativity with a moving version of Mary Did You Know?
The performance took place on December 22 and was presented imaginatively by ex-drama teacher, Jacqui Campbell who was presented with flowers at the end
