BLUEFIELD, W.Va. – As we enter 2025, WVVA is taking a moment to look back at the past year of local news in the Two Virginias. We saw everything from city government shake-ups, to downtown demolition work, a tornado touchdown and even new details in a cold case.
While it’s sadly impossible to include every worthwhile story in this piece, it can serve as a small taste of 2024′s major headlines in the region — and those headlines would not be possible without the hard work of our reporting team.
