Luke Littler has won the PDC World Darts Championship against Michael van Gerwen at Ally Pally.
He’s taken the Dutchman’s record as the youngest winner of the PDC World Darts Championship, reports the Mirror.
After he rattled off the first two sets, the 17-year-old was given a let-off by Van Gerwen in the third before extending his lead, and there was no way back for Van Gerwen.
Littler has wiped out the Dutchman’s record for youngest champ, set when Van Gerwen was 24 years old back in 2014.
He quickly raced into a commanding 4-0 lead before Van Gerwen hit back, winning two of the next three sets to make it 5-2. The pair then exchanged sets once more before Littler won 7-3.
Littler takes the crown as the youngest ever winner of the World Darts Championship with his triumph.
He sank to his knees in tears after landing the winning shot before he was heartily congratulated by Van Gerwen.
