A Scots teen remains in ‘serious’ condition after a hit and run involving an electric bike and a car.
Cops are continuing to probe the horror incident after a teenager was found seriously injured in Barrhead after being struck by a car.
The incident took place at around 10.55pm on Wednesday, 1 January, when a 15-a report of a 15-year-old boy on an electric bike having been found injured on Aurs Drive, Barrhead. He was taken to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital.
Extensive enquiries have been carried out and it has been established that he was struck by a car which failed to stop. The car is believed to be a silver Vauxhall Astra and enquiries are ongoing to trace it.
Sergeant Ally Wright said: “We have now confirmed that a car was involved in this incident and our enquiries are continuing to establish the full circumstances.
“I am appealing for anyone who was in the area around the time and who may have seen the incident, the car or have information which could assist us to get in touch. I would also appeal to anyone with dash-cam footage or private CCTV to contact us.”
