After generations on our TV screens WWE is just hours away from its Netflix debut.
The streaming giant will beam its first ever live episode of Monday Night Raw after months of rumours and hype. Every week UK fans can tune in to see the biggest stars and most dazzling moves at no extra expense. The deal is another statement move from Netflix who are looking to become the leading place for live sports streaming content.
The show is all the more tasty given the fact that the start of the year marks the build up to the Royal Rumble and the Road to WrestleMania. The likes of The Rock, John Cena and Cody Rhodes are some of the huge names associated with the launch of the new age at the WWE, a multi-million deal brokered by legend Triple H.
Record Sport is here to give the lowdown from the turn buckle to the canvas for the massive Netflix debut.

WWE Monday Night Raw’s debut on Netflix will be broadcast live on Monday, January 6 at 5pm (PT) and 8pm (EST) in the USA from the new Intuit Dome in Los Angeles. Who is set to appear on WWE Raw’s Netflix debut?
The premiere episode will feature some of the biggest names in WWE. John Cena is set to kick start his 2025 Farewell Tour while Undisputed WWE Champion “The American Nightmare” Cody Rhodes, Roman Reigns and CM Punk will feature. Roman Reigns will face Solo Sikoa in Tribal Combat while CM Punk faces off against Seth Rollins. Rhea Ripley will finally challenge Women’s World Champion Liv Morgan in a one-on-one match for the title.
There is also a big chance Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson will be there to start a WrestleMania rivalry with either Roman Reigns or Cody Rhodes – and given that he’ll already be in Los Angeles for the Golden Globes this weekend, it seems a possibility. Logan Paul will also be back after his move to Raw was announced by General Manager Adam Pearce at WWE headquarters in December.
Is WWE Smackdown and NXT coming to Netflix?
Yes they are! Both SmackDown ad NXT were aired on YouTube after the New Year as the deal for Netflix did not kick in until January 6. The WWE’s overseas broadcast deals ended on January 1 leaving both shows temporarily homeless. But both shows will make their Netflix debuts in the days after Raw. On Wednesday, January 8 NXT New Years Evil is airing live on Netflix at 1am UK time and SmackDown will follow at the same time on Saturday January 10. From that point, all three weekly shows will air on the service.
What WWE shows are already on Netflix?
As of New Year’s Day, WWE has an almost overwhelming amount of content on Netflix. It’s not quite on the level of the WWE Network, but already the streaming platform has almost every historic WWE pay-per-view/premium live event, from WrestleMania and Royal Rumble to more niche events like Rebellion.
All NXT TakeOvers along with select episodes of Raw and SmackDown are there too (including everything from the last couple of years), with plenty more to come. There are also series about current and legendary superstars, and plenty of new programming as part of the deal.
