Helen Skelton was forced to correct Anton Du Beke on Monday’s BBC Morning Live.
During the latest instalment, Helen, 41, spoke to Anton, 58, and Tasha Ghouri ahead of the Strictly Come Dancing Live! tour.
Anton is a judge on Strictly Come Dancing and Tasha, 26, finished as a runner-up on the most recent 2024 series of the hit BBC One dance show.
Helen, who also appeared on Strictly back in 2022 and finished as a runner-up, spoke to the two stars alongside co-host Gethin Jones.
Gethin, 46, said: “Anton, Tasha, lovely to see you. Happy New Year! Anton, is this your third year on the arena tour? So you can tell us exactly what to expect!”, reports Wales Online.
To which Anton replied: “Well, I can! Yes it is my third year but of course the lovely Helen was with us last year, was it last year? Time moves so fast!”
This prompted Helen to jump in as she corrected Anton with: “No, I was your first year! Oh, you said you’d remember me forever!”
Ever the professional, Anton quipped: “So we’ve already had another year between you and this year, who knew? Time goes so fast!”, joking: “You must have been memorable!” as the studio laughed in response.
Also in the studio was Strictly Come Dancing professional dancer, Luba Mushtuk, who was on hand to offer the show’s Strictly Fitness segment.
And it was a complete Strictly Come Dancing reunion as Dr Punam Krishan, who competed on the 2024 series, was also on the show for her health segment.
BBC Morning Live host Helen appeared on Strictly Come Dancing back in 2022, where she was partnered with Gorka Marquez.
The duo finished as runners-up, alongside Fleur East and Vito Coppola and Molly Rainford and Carlos Gu. Hamza Yassin and Jowita Przysta were crowned the 2022 champions.
Helen previously spoke about her time on Strictly on the Off Menu podcast, saying: “Even as someone who’s been in telly my whole adult life, I totally underestimated the eyes and the expectations and the perceptions that are put on Strictly.
“You walk out onto a dancefloor, bearing in mind you’re wearing a massive hair piece that’s not yours, and all of that is designed to make you feel amazing and a costume that’s designed to make you feel amazing.
“But if it’s not yours, you’re still a bit like ‘oh my gosh, what is happening to me? Am I alright about this?’ Whilst also having to keep in your head a whole dance routine as well.”
She added: “I was glad that I got the chance to stay in as long. I didn’t mind what people thought about me because I was in it and the longer I was in it, the more I enjoyed it and found my feet. And so I didn’t really mind what people were saying.”
BBC Morning Live continues on weekdays at 9:30am on both BBC One and BBC iPlayer.
