JEFFERSON COUNTY, Mo. (Gray News) – Deputies recovered an escaped spider monkey that was wearing a tutu.
Deputies responded to a highway for reports of a monkey on the loose in Jefferson County, Missouri.
When they arrived, they found the tutu-wearing spider monkey.
After “negotiations and some coaxing,” deputies were able to get close enough to the spider monkey to capture it.
The spider monkey was staying at a home nearby when it managed to open a door and go outside.
The spider monkey was returned to its caretaker.
