A group of 13 Dumfries and District Ramblers braved the snow and ice on Saturday, January 4 for a walk at Lochmaben.
Starting at the Bowling Green car park, they walked around Castle Loch before following paths and lanes to Mill Loch and eventually the path around the golf course.
On the way round, the Ramblers met members of the Castle Loch Lochmaben Community Trust working on the path at Kirkhirst Plantation and doing a first class job of maintaining the path around Castle Loch.
Thankfully the sunshine made up for the icy conditions and the walk was enjoyed by all. Thanks go to Grace for leading it.
