Demi Moore’s family — right down to ex Bruce Willis and toddler grandchild Louette — jumped up and down and screamed in delight as the actress won her first ever industry award at the Golden Globes on Sunday.
The three daughters Moore shares with Willis all sat out the awards show at home, but their joy perhaps shone even brighter without the glitz and glamor.
In a sweet video shared on Instagram, the family could be seen hunkering down on a sectional couch, shushing each other and staring intently at their television screen as Kerry Washington and Andrew Garfield announced the nominees.
As soon as Washington spoke Moore’s name, they leaped up as one, jumping up and down in exuberant celebration before quieting down again to hear their mother’s moving speech.
Willis, standing behind them, applauded vigorously, wearing a huge grin. The “Die Hard” actor has rarely been seen in photos or videos since stepping away from acting in 2022 and his subsequent diagnosis with frontotemporal dementia.
“SHE DID IT,” daughter Scout Willis captioned the family’s video on Instagram, followed by no fewer than 10 crying emojis.
Moore, 62, expressed astonishment at her win for Best Actress in a Motion Picture, Musical or Comedy for her role in the satirical body-horror film “The Substance.”
“I really wasn’t expecting that. I’m just in shock right now,” she said in her acceptance speech. “I’ve been doing this a long time, like over 45 years, and this is the first time I’ve ever won anything as an actor, and I’m just so humbled and so grateful.”
The speech made her daughters even prouder.
“What a gift to witness you shine and be acknowledged not only for the incredible work you did in this film but in the multitude of staggeringly breathtaking work your entire career,” Rumer Willis, 36, wrote on her Instagram Stories. “This is just the beginning.”
