TAZEWELL COUNTY, Va. – As we begin to see and deal with the snow accumulation outside, knowing how to handle the weather is more important than ever.

In Tazewell County, the community is preparing for the snow and ice. As temperatures drop and snow builds, Eric Young, the Acting Emergency Manager for Tazewell County, explained that avoiding travel is key if possible:

Young also added that if you experience a power outage, you can contact the 911 Center to find out where the closest warming station is in your area. Warming centers will be open as needed based on the weather.
