David Ludford, the ex-husband of The Vivienne, has paid a heartfelt tribute to the star who tragically passed away at the age of 32 this weekend.

The BBC Drag Race UK winner and David tied the knot in 2019 after their paths crossed in Gran Canaria. The Vivienne had previously expressed gratitude towards David and their relocation to Spain for aiding recovery from a ketamine addiction.

In April 2023, the couple announced their separation with a joint statement: “As many may have noticed, David and I have been apart recently. We have made the decision to part ways after an amazing 5 and half years.

“We are still very much friends, but sometimes life gets in the way and people grow apart. We wish each the absolute best and will always be part of each other’s lives. We’d ask that you please respect our privacy at this time. Thank you. James and David.”

David, who runs Drag Helmet, a business selling wigs for drag performers, took to Instagram to share his grief over the star – real name James Lee Williams – death reports Birmingham Live, posting wedding photos.
