The Tyreek Hill drama continues.
On Monday, the disgruntled Dolphins wide receiver added to the uncertainty around his future in Miami with an anything-but-subtle change to his profile picture on X.
Hill posted an edited image showing his head on Antonio Brown’s body from Jan. 2, 2022, when the latter removed his jersey and pads and ran off the field in the middle of a game between his Tampa Bay Buccaneers and the Jets at MetLife Stadium.
That proved to be Brown’s final NFL appearance.
Hill and the Dolphins, meanwhile, ended their disappointing 2024 season on Sunday with a 32-20 loss to the Jets at MetLife Stadium.
After the loss, Hill indicated his interest in a change of scenery.
“I’ve just got to do what’s best for me and my family, if that’s here or wherever the case may be,” Hill said. “I’m [going to] open up that door for myself … I’m out, bruh. It was great playing here, but at the end of the day, I have to do what’s best for my career.”
Hill, 30, also told reporters he was “pulled” from Sunday’s game during the second half, citing a wrist injury and the fact the Denver Broncos were up big on the Kansas City Chiefs and therefore close to clinching the AFC’s final wild-card spot.
Dolphins head coach Mike McDaniel, however, said he was told Hill was “unavailable” right before a drive and that it was not due to a new injury.
“At that point in time, the focus was on the players and I didn’t take the time to figure out more into that,” McDaniel said. “There were guys on the field that were competing. We were trying to win a game, so my focus was there.”
With the loss, the Dolphins finished 8-9 for their first losing season since 2019.
Hill finished with 959 receiving yards, marking only the second time in the last eight seasons — and the first time in his three years with Miami — that he had fewer than 1,000.
“Love fin nation blessing yall opened doors for the Hill family forever,” Hill wrote Sunday night on X. “Nothing but respect and love.”
Hill played in all 17 games this season, despite dealing with an injured wrist throughout the year. Dolphins quarterback Tua Tagovailoa, however, missed six games with head and hip injuries.
The speedy Hill eclipsed 1,700 yards in both of his first two seasons with the Dolphins, including leading the NFL with 1,799 in 2023. He spent his first six seasons with the Kansas City Chiefs.
Hill carries a cap number of $27.7 million in 2025 and of $51.9 million in 2026, according to Spotrac.
