FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. (Gray News) – Two people were found dead in the wheel well of a JetBlue plane from New York City after it landed at the Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport late Monday night, according to reports.
According to CNN, the bodies were discovered during a post-flight inspection.
The people have not been identified but JetBlue said “the circumstances surrounding how they accessed the aircraft remain under investigation.”
“This is a heartbreaking situation, and we are committed to working closely with authorities to support their efforts to understand how this occurred,” JetBlue said in a statement to CBS News.
The Broward County Sheriff’s Office and a medical examiner are investigating the incident.
