A car has plunged onto a beach following a crash in Aberdeen.
Emergency services raced to the Esplanade in the city after the alarm was raised at around 5.25pm on Tuesday. Coastguard and ambulance crews were called to assist following the one-vehicle smash.
It’s understood the driver is out of the car is out the vehicle and being checked by medical staff. The incident came amid freezing snowy conditions in the city.
A coastguard spokesperson said: “Aberdeen Coastguard Rescue Team was sent to a report of a car going onto the beach at the Esplanade, Aberdeen. “HM Coastguard was informed at about 5.45pm on January 7. Police Scotland and the Scottish Ambulance Service were also alerted.”
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 5.25pm on Tuesday, January 7, 2025, we were called to a report of a road crash involving one car at Esplanade, Aberdeen. Officers are in attendance. The driver of the car is out the vehicle and being checked by medical staff.”
