(CNN) – Ford is recalling nearly 300,000 heavy-duty pickup trucks.
The automaker says the recall is over a biodiesel deposit issue that could lead to failure of the high-pressure fuel pump.
That potential failure may result in a loss of drive power.
The recall covers certain Super Duty F250, F350, F450, F550 and F600 trucks.
It also involves F650 and F750 trucks for the 2021-2022 model year.
Dealers will do a free software update to fix the issue.
Owners of the recalled vehicles will be notified by mail next week.
