Katie Price’s friends are reportedly concerned the model is going too far and may be “obsessed” with cosmetic procedures, as she is said to be planning further surgery on her ears.
Said friends and sources have claimed the first time Katie, 46, goes under the knife in 2025 will be later this month, when she will reportedly head to Turkey to have her ears fixed.
They told Closer UK: “Katie is heading to Turkey in January for her first New Year’s procedure: fixing her pixie ears. She thinks they need correcting after her recent facelift. She’s having her ears removed, then re-stitched in place and pinned back so that they don’t stick out.”
As well as providing an update on Katie’s latest surgery, sources close to the model have also told the publication they are concerned about the extent of her body modifications. Since becoming a household name in the late-1990s and early-2000s Katie has had a several body augmentations, including over 15 breast enhancements and a facelift.
A source claimed to the publication: “Friends think Katie has gone too far. They feel like she’s obsessed and loves the attention – and the money from the pictures – that the surgery brings in.
“It seems to them like she’s locked into a dangerous ugly cycle, but Katie loves being able to reinvent herself and looks at a procedures list like a menu. She wants to try everything.”
This isn’t the first time sources have express concern about Katie. Last year, the Record reported that one source claimed they knew about her plans for future aesthetic goals.
They said: “Katie not only wants the biggest lips and boobs in the business but, in a shocking revelation made at The Glamour Awards, she also wants the smallest waist, setting her sights on 22 inches.
“Pals are worried that any more weight loss and she will look sick and will be putting herself in serious danger. They’re worried she could destroy her body forever.”
Katie has commented on her position on surgery in the past. Towards the end of last year, she shared plans for more surgery after her 17th breast enhancement. The mum of five admitted to Closer she may need therapy.
She explained: “I think I need therapy when it comes to surgery. I wouldn’t say I’ve got body dysmorphia, but there’s obviously an underlying something why I feel the need to get surgery, or why I look in the mirror and think, ‘I want to change that, or that’. What you’ve got to remember is that I’m four years away from being 50 so I’m entitled to [do] whatever I want to my face.”
Katie Price’s representatives have declined to comment on this story.
