Full-back Corrie Ndaba confessed Kilmarnock were ‘lethargic’ against Ross County and didn’t deserve to make it four successive home wins.

George Harmon’s late strike proved the difference in an entirely forgettable game at Rugby Park where neither side produced any real quality in the game.

And he says they need to get back to winning ways quickly if they’re to mount a top six challenge.

He said: “It’s not a good feeling losing at home. I don’t think we deserved to win, I don’t think we were good enough and it’s a disappointing one. We weren’t the usual us, we were a bit lethargic. Maybe we needed a bit more bravery to go and make something happen. “

He added: “It’s very disappointing and we now want to put it right against Motherwell.

“We had been on a good run, winning three home games in a row and this was one we were looking at, to go and capitalise on the fixtures.

“We needed to capitalise on those three home games we had before County and we did. We fancied ourselves for a fourth and we just weren’t at the races. “

Despite the lengthy injury list, the 25-year-old Irishman insisted that was not the issue, adding: “No matter who’s on the pitch, you just have to do what the gaffer tells you to do and try your best for the team.

“I don’t want to make excuses for injuries and stuff like that. Obviously, the dynamic of the team is a bit different and people are trying to fill in and play in different positions.

“But we should be winning that game on Sunday, and we just didn’t.”
