(Gray News) – A man nearly missed his flight because he was stuck inside a self-driving Waymo taxi that kept driving in circles.
The incident happened last month at the Scottsdale Airport in Arizona.
Mike Johns said he was in one of Waymo’s humanless cars to get to the airport when everything went haywire.
He recorded the ordeal from the backseat as the car started to loop around and around in a circle.
Waymo contacted Johns directly after realizing there was an issue. After a few minutes, the car came to a stop.
Waymo said the circling issue has since been addressed by a software update.
Johns was not charged for the trip.
