When tickets opened up for sale, nosebleed seats soared to upwards of $500. Now, they’re going for more than half that amount.

ARLINGTON, Texas — Along with the temperatures in DFW, Ticket prices for the Texas vs. Ohio State marquee Goodyear Cotton Bowl Classic matchup at AT&T Stadium have plummeted.

The sky-high ticket prices for this eye-grabbing football game were pretty justified as the arguably hottest team and most talented team in Ohio State took on the de facto “home team” in the Texas Longhorns, led by the quarterback who has attended both schools in his career, Southlake Carroll alum Quinn Ewers.

Ticket prices were so high that the cheapest seat (at the time we last wrote about this) was essentially the same price as front-row 50-yard line seats to Texas’ last game in the Peach Bowl.

Now, days ahead of the game and with three to six inches of snow forecasted for North Texas, ticket prices on all the third-party ticket sellers have been slashed to nearly one-third of what they used to be.
