The contributions made by NHS Ayrshire & Arran staff is set to be recognised as this year’s Ayrshire Achieves award scheme is launched.
Nominations are not open to all staff and volunteers in NHS Ayrshire & Arran as well as East, North and South Health and Social Care Partnerships with the public being encouraged to nominate their local health heroes.
The awards ceremony will take place in May with heroes in six categories being recognied for their dedication and contributions made to the local community.
Lesley Bowie, Chair of Ayrshire & Arran NHS Board, said: “Ayrshire Achieves is a wonderful way for both members of the public and our staff to highlight the fantastic work from our staff and volunteers in health and care services across Ayrshire.
“If someone immediately comes to mind, this is your chance to shine a light on their efforts.”
The awards ceremony will take place on Thursday, May 2025, with awards in the following six categories:
Behind the scenes : This award is for staff who make a real difference without most people knowing about it.
Care and compassion : This award is for an individual or team who has demonstrated care and compassion towards colleagues or patients and their families with exceptional care, compassion, dignity and respect.
Collaboration and working together: This award is for a team who has demonstrated exceptional teamworking and collaboration.
Making a difference with digital: This award is for an individual or team who is doing things differently using digital approaches.
Shining stars: This award is for an individual, team or volunteer who goes above and beyond what is expected of them.
Thinking out of the box: This award is for an individual or team who has done something new or different; delivered innovation, reform, or found solutions against all the odds.
