Viewers of the BBC series The Traitors have hailed the latest development as a ‘miracle’ following a ‘heartless’ move that left one participant exposed.
In the most recent instalment broadcast on Wednesday (January 8), the aftermath of the dramatic events from the last episode was finally disclosed. On Friday (January 3) night’s show, Armani was ousted from the castle after garnering the highest number of votes from her peers, including her co-conspirator Minah, reports Wales Online.
This resulted in the Faithfuls successfully identifying their first Traitor within the game. Yet, not everyone was out of danger that evening, as several were at risk of being murdered.
The newest episode kicked off with the morning after, where the group found out that Maia had been ‘murdered’ and was absent from breakfast.
Some viewers at home were astonished that Linda wasn’t the initial Traitor to be caught. One viewer tweeted: “It’s a MIRACLE you weren’t the first Traitor to go Linda!” Another commented: “How the hell is Linda still there I’m crying.” Meanwhile, another added: “The fact Linda is gonna make it to the final at this rate is so hilarious but also utterly insane and so embarrassing for the Faithfuls.”
Social media was abuzz as fans quickly responded to the revelation that Linda and her fellow Traitor Minah chose to ‘murder’ Maia, who had just played a part in banishing her own Traitor ally previously. They also forecasted that this could spell the end for Faithful Freddie, as numerous contestants began to speculate about him potentially being a Traitor.
One viewer commented: “Heartless killing Maia but oh so needed to happen or she could coast on sympathy and if she got recruited these lot wouldn’t clock.”
Another fan concurred, stating: “The faithful would be so dumb to think Freddie would murder Maia after her accusations, so…. obviously, they’ll sheeple together and banish him”.
The Traitors continues tomorrow at 9pm on BBC One.
