A Kilmarnock venue is set to expand its entertainment offering with a new state-of-the-art room.
The Garage is on the brink of launching a new space that will house a private cinema, karaoke party room and a high-tech golf simulator.
Previously a storage space at the Grange Street venue, the disused area – set to open on January 18 – will be transformed into multi-use room that boasts cutting-edge technology.
Dubbed FlexSpace, the heart of the development will feature a Trackman Golf Simulator – which is used by Tour golfers Dustin Johnson, Rory McIlroy, and Hideki Matsuyama and is renowned for its unparalleled accuracy and immersive experience.
The room will also soon offer a multi-sport simulator. Revellers will soon be able to enjoy virtual versions of their favourite sports, adding to the growing list of activities available at The Garage.
A modern sound system in the room also means friends can get together for a celebration or just a night out with pals on the karaoke with a wide selection of songs set to be available.
An impressive 220-inch high-definition projector and screen will enable movie and sports buffs to enjoy a blockbuster film or live sport.
Jamie Mackenzie, boss at The Garage leisure complex, said: “I’m thrilled to be adding another exciting dimension to The Garage with the launch of FlexSpace.
“This new multi-function area is a testament to my commitment to providing unique, state-of-the-art entertainment for our customers. I’m aiming to officially open FlexSpace on Saturday, January 18, and can’t wait to see our guests enjoy everything it has to offer.
“Later this year, I’m also planning to update our bar and nightclub area by introducing bar food, augmented reality darts, and beer pong tables, ensuring The Garage continues to be the go-to destination for fun and entertainment in Kilmarnock.”
The Garage recently celebrated its 30th birthday with a GBX DJ George Bowie joining the venue for an evening of special celebrations.
While well known for offering ten-pin bowling and go karting, the town centre destination also has one of Scotland’s last Wimpy restaurants.
The Garage extended its entertainment offering in December 2023 after opening two mini golf courses next door at the former Jefferson restaurant.
