The library was expected to reopen Tuesday following the reported threat, but officials opted to err on the side of caution.

PFLUGERVILLE, Texas — An investigation into a potential threat shut down Pflugerville’s library on Tuesday.

Pflugerville police would not share details of their investigation but around 4 p.m., authorities asked the public to avoid the area near West Pfluger Street and 10th Street as they investigated.

Officials said they would reopen the library, but later opted out of an abundance of caution to keep it closed for the rest of the day and apologized for the inconvenience.

While it remains unclear what the threat was, the library said normal hours are expected to resume Wednesday.
