(Gray News) – Morgan Wallen’s hit album “Dangerous: The Double Album” was just named the No. 1 album of the 21st century, according to Billboard.

Billboard comprised a list of the top albums of the century, based on their performances on the Billboard 200 chart.

The list looked at data from the start of 2000 through the end of 2024.

“Dangerous: The Double Album” debuted at No. 1 on the chart dated Jan. 23, 2021, and remained on top of the chart through March 27, 2021.

Billboard said it became the first album to spend its first 10 weeks at No. 1 since Whitney Houston’s album “Whitney” in 1987.

Through the end of 2024, Billboard said “Dangerous: The Double Album” spent a whopping 158 weeks in the top 10 on the Billboard 200.

“Dangerous: The Double Album” is Wallen’s sophomore album. His third album, “One Thing at a Time,” is ranked No. 6 on the list of top albums of the century.

According to Billboard, these are the top 10 albums of the 21st century so far, based on chart performance:

  3. Taylor Swift, “Fearless”
  4. Taylor Swift, “1989”

  8. Lil Baby, “My Turn”
  9. Nickelback, “All the Right Reasons”
  10. Lady Gaga, “The Fame”

Billboard also released a list of the top 10 artists of the 21st century, with Taylor Swift taking the top spot. Wallen did not break the top 10.
