As much of Scotland suffers a cold snap, many of us are dreaming of escaping to sunnier shores. One European hotspot could be just the ticket for some winter sun on a budget.
Just a three-hour flight from the UK is the Spanish city of Malaga, renowned for its towering hotels and resorts, as well as the historic Alcazaba and Gibralfaro citadels – remnants of Moorish rule. Beyond its 16 sun-drenched beaches, this Mediterranean jewel offers a swathe of cultural experiences for holiday-makers.
And if that’s not enough to tempt you, the bargain prices of a winter holiday there might just persuade you. According to a TikTok post by @trip.tailors – an adventure travel company with 1,200 followers – you can enjoy food for just £15 a day, travel for £10 daily, and activities ranging from £20-£30. Flights and hotel accommodation can also be snapped up for around £375 for five days if you book through Trip Tailors.
These bargain prices are reportedly available any time in January or February, with direct flights from multiple UK airports. The post quickly went viral, racking up 8,800 likes and a flurry of comments.
One user exclaimed: “Lovely on my bucket list.” Another praised: “Beautiful place.” A third shared: “We love budget friendly destinations.” Meanwhile, a fourth remarked: “It’s absolutely amazing,” and a fifth TikTok enthusiast declared: “Goals, I’m manifesting this for myself in 2025!”
