Motorists in Monklands are warned to expect some travel disruption when three roads shut for work this month.

Cairnhill Avenue in Airdrie will shut from January 20 until February 10, when signposted, from the extended east kerb line of Cairnhill Road to 160m south-east.

This will be to allow for “footway resurfacing works by Hochtief” and drivers are warned there won’t be any diversions available throughout the closure.

Ironwork repairs by Scottish Water will see Broompark Crescent, Airdrie, shut all day on January 23.

The closure will run between Lochside Crescent and Ardbeg Crescent and no alternative routes will be on offer to motorists.

Also closing all day on January 23 for Scottish Water work will be Coatbridge’s Buchanan Street, from Gallery Grove to Stobcross Street.

Diverted routes will include Ross Street, Bank Street, Dundyvan Road, Henderson Street and Kirk Street.
