Being in a relationship can be challenging, but it’s so fulfilling when everything clicks into place and you can be 100% yourself around the other person. For James, Sarah, and Hunter, maintaining a harmonious three-way relationship might seem complex, but they’ve found a way to make it flourish.

Their journey to happiness has been tumultuous, as revealed in an episode of ‘Love Don’t Judge’ on YouTube. “My friend turned my boyfriend bi,” Sarah confessed at the beginning of the show.

She recounted how she and James have been an item since their high school days, with James never having explored a same-sex relationship until he developed feelings for Hunter, Sarah’s best friend who is openly gay. Hunter expressed his affection for Sarah was “a little bit more than a friend” but also acknowledged his confusion, stating: “At the same time, I knew I was gay – so I was a little confused”.

Both Sarah and James identify as bisexual, while Hunter considers himself biromantic – meaning he can form romantic attractions to men or women. Their paths crossed when Sarah and James were house-hunting and stumbled upon Hunter, which led to their close bond.

Prior to meeting Hunter, the idea of a third person in their relationship hadn’t crossed Sarah’s mind, especially since she viewed herself as “a jealous person”. Similarly, Hunter had always leaned towards monogamy.

Despite their initial reservations, the trio now share a romantic connection and affirm that their unique arrangement has brought them immense joy.

Sarah disclosed that her affections towards James “never diminished” when she felt a bond with Hunter. The throuple, were candid about their dynamics – Sarah and James are intimate, James and Hunter share sexual relations, while Hunter satisfies Sarah in different ways because he only has a sexual interest in men.

Concerning the top query they face about how they sleep, they revealed that they do indeed “all sleep in the same bed” and they “take turns” occupying different spots.

Regrettably, they’ve been the target of online vitriol due to their unconventional relationship, with some naysayers suggesting “it’s just a phase” and surmising that their connection is superficial, merely “for fun.”

There are those who predict: “You’ll enjoy yourselves and then just go back to your normal life,” a perspective which the trio steadfastly rejects. They also faced bewilderment from friends who “didn’t get it” and found themselves “weirded out” by the unconventional setup, although this hasn’t deterred the throuple.

James expressed immense gratitude to Sarah and Hunter for enabling him to become the “best version” of himself. He thanked them for all their love and support, insisting they made him incredibly happy despite the online scepticism.

Addressing the trolls, they said: “It’s our lives, and we’re gonna live it the way that we want to live it, honestly. Just keep the judgement to yourselves. If you really don’t like it, don’t look.”

Since the throuple shared their story on YouTube, they’ve been met with a wave of support. One user commented: “A lot of people are in open relationships nowadays. Some people are monogamous, while other people are polygamous. Whatever makes you happy! ” Another chimed in: “They seem happy. That’s all that matters.”

A third person expressed personal interest, saying: “This is the type of relationship I want to be in because I’m bisexual.”
